Google’s John Mueller confirms that there is a possibilty of facing a penalty if you add an external link from FAQ rich results. An SEO practictioner recently asked John Mueller if “linking to an external site from the FAQ Schema of a discounts/vouchers site?” was possible. John instantly replying to the user said, “Sure,” John said.
