Basic SEO does not mean easy SEO, says Google

Google’s John Mueller stated that basic SEO did not really mean easy work put in for the fundamental search engine optimisation. John took to Twitter and posted a series of tweets the other day that needs to be observed. All of the tweets revolve around the notion of fundamental SEO and whether it makes it easier or not. In short, just though some SEO is simple and easy to grasp does not imply that it is simple labour.

John suggested “Technical SEO is (in my opinion) quite “simple” at its foundation. The fundamentals are essential. The sophisticated aspect is implementing it at scale and intelligently mixing the pieces. Furthermore, “basic” does not imply that these facts are simple or always evident.” He went on to explain that he would rather people ask simple SEO questions than not. Furthermore, the views fundamental SEO queries being asked as an indication that more people are becoming interested in SEO.

Unfortunately, even simple ideas are misunderstood and misconstrued in the SEO industry. The majority of SEO ideas are basically simple. However, as John mentioned, adopting those fundamentals might be a significant and difficult problem on particular sites and setups. Implementation is part of the SEO talent you need, and it often necessitates asking questions if you lack experience.
