Youtube launches yet another gesture called Youtube shorts. “Shorts is a new short-form video experience for creators and artists who want to shoot short, catchy videos using nothing but their mobile phones.“
It’s a strategy popularised by Rudyard Kipling’s poem “Just So Stories,” which was released in 1902. Allow me to share the process I use to evaluate new products, whether it’s TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.
Who are the audiences you are trying to Reach?
This is the first question we must address when it comes to YouTube Shorts.
You may assume YouTube answered this question when it introduced its new camera and a slew of editing capabilities, but you’d be wrong. “Creators and artists” are the target audiences for Shorts.
However, almost all of the creators I know, as well as the great majority of the artists I know, are focused on increasing the number of viewers and subscribers to their channels. The objective is to make more money as a YouTube Partner or as an influencer who generates brand-sponsored video. As a result, YouTube Shorts has three distinct target audiences:

Why is this new Youtube feature important? Do these capabilities appear to be more essential than new editing tools that allow you to combine numerous video clips, apply speed settings and timers, and add music to your video clips?
Because these frills and gimmicks are only beneficial in video production – and video production isn’t what keeps artists and creators up at night.
