Google Maps Update: Maps Local Pack displays Just directions icon

Google’s local pack user interface and design testing has proven to be a bit offbeat in recent days. The Local Pack is a part of Google’s search results that displays local businesses that are relevant to your inquiry.

When your query includes a local intent, Google will provide three local businesses or providers that may be able to answer your search. Google is currently displaying a very minimal local pack for bus rental inquiries.

However, there have been reports of the search engine only displaying the directions button; there are no review stars, website symbols, not much of the information is available.

The testing of the local pack user interface was higlighted onthe Local Search Forum. Earlier, the Tech Giant was also noted testing the Local pack by placing the map on the right side of the SERPs.
