Google Ads to update sexually explicit content policy starting this December; violations could lead to account suspension
Google is ramping up its Google Ads’ policy on sexually explicit material starting January 2022. The Tech Giant is also looking forward to enforcing the policy updating of sexually explicit content by 1 December 2021, with over 4 weeks of the integration process. That implies that any advertising found violating the policy may result in instant account suspension upon discovery and any without prior notice by the search engine.

In December 2021, Google Ads sexually explicit content policy violations will be updated to egregious policy violations. The egregious policy violations result in account suspension upon detection and without prior warning. Google said it will begin enforcing the policy update on December 1, 2021, with full enforcement ramping up over approximately 4 weeks so that by January 2022, it will be in full enforcement with the new policy.
Google stated that it takes breaches of the sexually explicit content policy extremely seriously and will consider them severe if they occur during the timeframe specified in this changelog. If the search engine discovers breaches of this policy, it will suspend your Google Ads accounts immediately and without notice, and bar you from advertising with Google Ads in the future.
