Fluctuations in Google On Pages Indexing
The other day, Google’s John said that it is expected for a page to “pop into the index for a bit, and then pop out again.”
John was questioned about this Search Console chart that displays URLs being indexed in their separate passable slots for a period and then dropping out (still indexed with no impressions):
To this, John replied to Mastodon, “That can happen, and probably isn’t particularly uncommon. Things can pop into the index for a bit, and then pop out again. When things are on the edge and the system has to make a yes/no decision, sometimes it goes one way for a while, and then the other way again. The web is noisy, I think that’s fine.”
So, for enhancing your site’s indexing ratio, then it is significant to augment the quality. For years, Google has been stating that they do not index everything. Nevertheless, if Google believes the page is high quality, it will index and rank that page.
